Registry Info

Wedding registry items will be posted off to the right on the blog under "Some Helpful Links". Follow the links to see what the new couple desire. You may need to enter in the name on the site to pull up the list but either the bride or groom can be used in reference.

As of April 25, half of the rooms at Calabogie Peaks have been reserved. Act quickly since the general public can begin booking these remaining rooms starting on May 1!

Final Stages

Sara and I made a whirlwind trip to the Ottawa valley last week to make final preparations for the wedding. It was my first trip to the "OV" and I was immensely impressed at the quaintness and beauty. We managed to complete everything on the list and now for the waiting period. We still need to get our rings and choose the food for the reception. Oh yeah, the wedding registry is going to be posted this week. Seriously, we will get it posted even though we meant to do it weeks ago. We have been getting the response cards in the mail and we are excited that most of those on our list have decided to join us for the fun and festivities. This has been the best part of the process thus far. It makes going to the mail more exciting that we thought possible.

Invitations Are On Their Way

Invitations are now in the hands of the postal service. If you are looking for ideas for the groom/bride, Sara and I will be putting together wedding registries at various places over the next week. We will be sure to post links/details as we compile them.

Save the Date

Oh, to live in warm California at this time of the year. Here is the Save the Date announcement for the wedding. The picture was taken at Point Reyes National Seashore this past weekend. It was about 70F (21C) and a spectacular January day.

Calabogie Peaks Layout

Here is the location of the wedding reception. Also included on the map are the alternate lodging locations around the lake. We will arrange for a cab to be available to shuttle people to these other lodging locations during and after the reception.

Some Pictures

This is a picture of the church where we will be getting married. I grew up outside of Pakenham, and this is the catholic church in the village where I was baptized, confirmed et cetera. Yes, the church does have a neon cross that lights up every night!

Here is a picture of the location of the reception, Dickson Manor at Calabogie Peaks. Though it is a 30 minute drive from Pakenham there will be rooms reserved for the wedding, as well as other motels and campgrounds about 5 km from the reception location.

We have a date!

What : Sara and Edward's wedding
When: June 13th, 2009
Where: Pakenham Ontario (for the wedding) followed by a party at Calabogie Peaks
Why: So that we can celebrate with friends and family. You should come. It'll be lots of fun.

Hope that there aren't any triskaidekaphobes out there!
