Two Weeks Left
Sara and I are busy with the last minute details. We have a few more flowers to make and then start putting a schedule of events together for the days of the wedding celebration. I hope everyone has their travel plans in order. If anyone needs our help, please contact us or leave a comment. We are getting really excited for the big day and look forward to seeing you all there!

Even more gift ideas...
A few more things to consider:
Gift cards to the following places (click on name to follow link):
Target: best quality of the big box places.
Amazon: we're big fans (obviously by the wedding registry).
Apple: new computer in the future???
Backcountry: always in need of a few more backcountry supplies...
REI: in case we need backcountry supplies and can't wait for the mail.

Gift Registry Updates
Well, the registry is a work in progress (and can be reached to the right by following the Amazon link). Since we realize that not everyone wants to go through Amazon, feel free to shop at your favorite store.
Favorite colors: Bright Green, metallic, white, dark grey, icy light blue.
Current themes: Our kitchen is bright green (like Kiwi by Le creuset), white and metallic. Our bathroom is white, dark grey and icy light blue. Bedroom is metallics and white.
Things to avoid: We have the following: Knives and Cookware (except what's listed, Sara and I went crazy at Le Creuset last year).
Not our thing: Crystal, anything to do with wine/beer (not drinkers).
Not our colors: Black, blue, red, yellow, pink, dark green.
Lastly, we ask that no gifts are brought to the wedding/reception since we will have no means to get them back to California. Please send them directly to our address in California or think small, really small...

Registry Info
Wedding registry items will be posted off to the right on the blog under "Some Helpful Links". Follow the links to see what the new couple desire. You may need to enter in the name on the site to pull up the list but either the bride or groom can be used in reference.
As of April 25, half of the rooms at Calabogie Peaks have been reserved. Act quickly since the general public can begin booking these remaining rooms starting on May 1!

Final Stages
Sara and I made a whirlwind trip to the Ottawa valley last week to make final preparations for the wedding. It was my first trip to the "OV" and I was immensely impressed at the quaintness and beauty. We managed to complete everything on the list and now for the waiting period. We still need to get our rings and choose the food for the reception. Oh yeah, the wedding registry is going to be posted this week. Seriously, we will get it posted even though we meant to do it weeks ago. We have been getting the response cards in the mail and we are excited that most of those on our list have decided to join us for the fun and festivities. This has been the best part of the process thus far. It makes going to the mail more exciting that we thought possible.

Invitations Are On Their Way
Invitations are now in the hands of the postal service. If you are looking for ideas for the groom/bride, Sara and I will be putting together wedding registries at various places over the next week. We will be sure to post links/details as we compile them.
